SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD

This year Montgomery County Juvenile Court presented the Corner Cupboard and Sunlight Village with a Special Recognition Award for helping to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth in the community.
Corner Cupboard was selected for the award due to holding true to their mission statement to help those in need. Because of their generosity, indigent youth involved in our program has received schools supplies, meals for the holiday, Christmas gifts, and incentives for positive behavior. Through their support, Building Bridges has been able to help change many lives over the years.
Sunlight Village Inc. was granted the award for their partnership with Building Bridges by providing services and programing to court involved at risk youth who lacked support in their life, extensive history of generational poverty, dysfunctional family dynamic, history of abuse & neglect, poor school performance, substance issues, disparity, and anger.
